(Opening Scenes) Arizona answers a 911 page from Bailey, only to find out that she is wanting to chat about treatment plans and that there is no actual emergency. Derek shows up at William Dunn's bedside.

Alex snaps at Arizona when she asks him about his plans with Izzie. Lizzie tells Cristina that she and the "pig murderer" make a really good couple. She gives her advice on how to make their first date fun and sexy and which questions she should ask. They are boggled over Meredith eating pot roast with Derek and his mother.

Finding herself alone with Meredith, Cristina tells her that the ponytail looks ridiculous. Meredith takes the ponytail down. Derek's mother tells Mark that Lexie is good for him and he needs to raise his expectations. Callie and Mark tell Chuck he's shorter. Gary loses his cool after Chuck complains and Chuck finally figures out that he's been a jerk.

Owen, clothed in the shower, tells Cristina about his best surgery, which also happens to be his worst surgery. She gets into the shower and helps him undress. Alex tells Izzie they should take a road trip and that his mom would like to meet her. After Izzie leaves, Denny sits down to talk to Alex.
