from TWO MEXICAN DANCES
the composer is Gordon Stout
though I do not know who is playing or which recording it is
because it has become a marimba standard
which all marimba players play
you can find some recital performances on youtube
could be Gordon Stout himself playing

The recording on Gordon's CD "Astral Projections" is the best by far. Buy It!!!
