Lyrics:
(Young Son)
Hold on my sister
Queen
I understand you've been going through some things
Life ain't as easy as it may seem
That's what I keep God on my team
I'm can relate too, see I'm just nineteen
My teenage years wasn't peachy keen
Peer pressure on the block
To tote them things
Light that green
Get that cream
And I know you encounter dudes
Who trip off bling
And believe in love
Just a one night fling
And don't really see you
For your beauty
That was crafted
Straight from heavenly hands
Truly mastered
You don't have to be defiled
Abused or downgraded
Flaunt the independence
And gifts that God gave ya
Tell them slow joe dudes
To move out your way
Let me stop now
So they can hear what you gotta say, go
(Karina)
Aint no Daddy`s where I`m from Its just mad mothers
And eyes that still seem they can`t look past colours
Why am |I disrespected by someone that should called brother.
And why girls feeling pretty and constantly hate eachother
Bad air in my lungs.. Man I can`t breathe
My eyes burning from all the dirt in the dubris
And its 3th degree motionless on the scene.
Its like a disease the way Ya`ll killing me
I`m 16 and I shouldnt have to feel like this
16 every Young boy out here wanna kiss
16 and me and my momma going through it
16 on the Block 16 on the Block
(Chorus)
I`m 16 ( at war) 16(at war) 16(at war) 16(at war) I`m 16(at war) 16 (at war)
I`m 16 on the Block 16 on the Block
(Verse 2)
Around here cool is another word for fool
If he smoke then she smoke I gotta smoke too
Now what would I do if I didn`t have a clue
I`m 16 why oh Asking God oh why oh?
If my clothes ain`t tight then he ain`t gon like me
Eyes on the prize so the next girl dress just like me
I`m so full of promises but why promise if promise just be rewarded by bad actions
To him I`m just a tramp
I`m 16 and I shouldnt have to feel like this
16 every Young boy out here wanna kiss
16 and me and my momma going through it
16 on the Block 16 on the Block
(Chorus)
I`m 16 ( at war) 16(at war) 16(at war) 16(at war) I`m 16(at war) 16 (at war)
I`m 16 on the Block 16 on the Block
I want you to love my mind, my smile, my style
I want you to know the best of me
I want to belong without being treated like property
Why does this feel like fantasy
(Young Son's Second Verse)
No reason
You can't be the one you want to be
If it's a leader you see
Strive to be that to the umph degree
Young ladies
Be all you can be
It might sound cliché
But it's hope I see
And it's oh so true
Change of your path
All starts in you
And as long as you have a beating heart
In you
The plight for success
Will never part for you
That should drive you
You ain't gotta live up
To the peer pressure
And the ways they try to tell you
That
You gotta look this way
Gotta talk like this
Act like this
Tell em' you gon walk this way
Your own route
The road of independence
Already a champion
Should be flaunting ya pendent
This the new anthem
For the young
Pay attention
From 16 to the ones
Struggling to pay tuition
All about intuition
The mission
Life is a struggle
But we equipped
With equipment
And tools just to make it through the hustle
Along with faith, hope
And people around that love you
Feet underneath
And your head up above you
Knowing nobody else
Is gonna make it happen but you
The original was real
Yes, Karina gets down
Tell the world this the New Edition
Like Bobby Brown
(Karina)
I`m 16 and I shouldnt have to feel like this

16 and me and my momma going through it

Some suggested that my mother have an abortion but she did not and so I am alive today. My story in expressed in my video "Morning Has broken: Abortion and Pro-life"
Abortion stops a beating heart thousands of times per day. A human heart starts beating 18-24 days after conception, before a woman even knows she is pregnant.
I am not condemning anyone who has had an abortion, I do not have the authority to judge them. All I am saying is that life and the soul of a baby in the womb is precious , iy means something in this world, and we should think twice before taking that life away. What was his or her life suppose to be? What does her life mean now? What was the baby suppose to learn? Who was she suppose to affect? We don't have the wisdom to stop her beating heart, stop the life the surges through her. Peace.
Regarding Rape, Incest, and the life of the mother:
I, myself, was pro-choice for years. I felt that it was wrong as simply a from of birth control, but that in the hard cases it should be allowed. The thing to remember, however, is that in cases such as rape and incest, the child conceived is still present... Rape and incest are some of the worst, most violating, harmful events a woman can go through. No one can ever justify them. However, the life conceived in this horrible acts is innocent. The rapist often gets away or is given jail time. His child is given the death penalty.
No woman should ever have to make that choice. No woman should ever be violated against her will. But the biology--the life--of the baby conceived is no different than any other baby conceived.
Also, many women who have an abortion after a rape still feel immense regret and go through the same feelings of rape as they go through the painful act of abortion. Many women who allow the child to live feel that they have been able to rise above the evil act of rape by having their child. Nearly 1% of women getting abortions have been raped and we must always show them love and care, but if you realize that the child is a human being how can killing him or her make the rapist act less painful?
And those instances where the mother's life is actually in danger—where the baby or her will die--usually only occur at 5 months gestation or after where, if the baby was delivered and not killed through abortion, he or she would have a least a chance at living.
I do realize that other instances, such as an ectopic pregnancy--where there is no chance of survival for the baby and the mother's life is in danger-- require different attention. In these cases the baby can be removed from the mother, and as he or she is too young to survive outside the womb will pass away.
I am in no way condemning those 1% of women who have to make these tough choices in cases of rape, incest, and illness. It is not my place to judge them. My goal is to spread the reality of life in the womb to the other 99% of women who may seek abortion and their friends, relatives, boyfriend, husbands etc. Between 1/3 and 1/4 of all babies conceived are aborted. These little lives are snuffed out. If only we could all know the beauty that is every human life.
Regarding "Saving" children from abuse, neglect, disease, a handicap etc. by taking their life by abortion:
By saying that one is saving children from tough family situations, and those who may be born with drug addictions or HIV or a handicap, you are also saying that these children are less human or less deserving of life than other "normal" babies. Before we try to "save" those babies by killing them, maybe we should think of the beauty of their life, of the love of their friends, and their future impact on the world. Are the children with the above "conditions" who live outside of the womb, who are newborns, toddlers, teens, etc less worth to live because their lives seem much "harder" than our own. How many of us can really say they should not be alive? A tough family situation, a handicap, having HIV or a pre-natal addiction to drugs does not doom a person's life...Are we willing to tell all those people who have been born "abnormal" that they don't deserve to live or that their life is not as worthy or meaningful as our own? That it would have been better that they hadn't been born? I believe those people would disagree.
If only we all could look at other human beings no matter their race, health, sex, ability, etc. and say, "You are a human being. I acknowledge that you are alive and that you have the same right to live as I have. Though I may not understand you, I respect you as a fellow human on this planet trying to overcome adversity just as I am, trying to find happiness just as I am, crying and laughing just as I am, and above all else and most importantly you are alive just as I am alive."

Figure skating montage set to the original french version of 'Belle' from Notre Dame de Paris. Cast list as follows:
Quasimodo - Evgeni Plushenko
Claude Frollo - Alexei Yagudin
Captain Phoebus - Evan Lysacek
Esmeralda - Sasha Cohen
Fleur-de-Lys - Tanith Belbin*
*Note that in all subsequent montage, Fleur-de-Lys is played by Kimmie Meissner. I did Belle before deciding to do a series, and there simply aren't enough clips of Tanith solo that are usable. I also deleted the original project from my computer, and am therefore unable to edit Belle properly to put Kimmie in. So, take this as a rare treat ;)
Translation of the lyrics:
Quasimodo:
Beauty
It seems a word invented for her
When she dances, revealing her body
Like a bird spreads its wings to fly
I feel the devil take me by the feet
My eyes gazed under her gypsy dress
What shall I pray to Mary for?
Who will cast the first stone at her?
He who does not deserve to live
Oh Satan! Oh! Let me just once
Pass my fingers through Esmeralda's hair
Frollo:
Beauty
Is she the devil incarnate
Leading me from the Eternal Lord
Who has bewitched me with carnal desire
To turn me from heaven above?
She carries inside the original sin
Am I a criminal if I desire her?
She, who all thought a whore, a girl of the street
Suddenly seems to be humanity's burden
Oh! I beseech you Our Lady. Oh! Allow me just once
The entrance to Esmeralda's garden
Phoebus:
Beauty
Behind those eyes that cast a spell
Could the girl still be a maiden?
When the moves she makes promise me the earth
Underneath her rainbow skirt
My betrothed, leave me one infidelity
Before we're joined by God
What man could resist gazing at her
At the risk of becoming transfixed?
Oh Fleur-De-Lis, I'm not a man to trust
I'll pluck the flower of Esmeralda's love
All:
My eyes gazed under her gypsy dress
What shall I pray to Mary for?
Who will cast the first stone at her?
He who does not deserve to live
Oh Satan! Oh! Let me just once
Pass my fingers through Esmeralda's hair
This is the first in my series of montages based off of Notre Dame de Paris.

DARE YOU TO BE BALD!
A special event being held the weekend of April 18th 2008 which will be the kick off for the event, On APRIL 19, 2008, WE WILL BE HOSTING SEMINARS, WORKSHOP, AND WIG BURNINGS, WITH A BANQUET TO FOLLOW. This new initiative is designed to raise awareness about women and men who are BATTLING WITH CANCER, ALOEPECIA, PER- MATURE BALDING MS, LUPUS, AND/OR STRESS RELATED BALDING. At this event we hope to empower those who are afraid to seek medical treatment because of hair loss and/ or pre-mature baldness. The purpose of this event is to raise awareness, for the families, friends, and society at large ABOUT WOMEN and MEN WHO ARE SUFFERING FROM HAIR LOST. THE AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY is excited about this up coming weekend and is giving their support. LARRY POLLACK OWNER OF THE "HORSE CLOSET", AMANDA HITCHCOCK A FORMER NURSE WHO HAS WORKED ON THE ONCOLOGY FLOOR AT WILLIAMSPORT HOSPITAL (which treats both men and women suffering from cancer), AND I, DIANE DEVAUGHN OWNER OF VIRTUOUS WOMEN BEAUTY SUPPLIES AND FOUNDER OF "I DARE YOU TO BE BALD!" WOULD LIKE YOU TO GET INVOLVE! I have been dealing with alopecia for 30 years, I started SHAVING MY HEAD in 2006 and frankly I love it! WE, AS A SOCEITY, NEED TO REALIZE THAT WOMEN ARE BEAUTIFUL WITH OR WITHOUT THEIR HAIR. AT VIRTUOUS WOMEN BEAUTY SUPPLIES I CATER TO A LOT OF WOMEN WHO ARE BATTLING WITH CANCER AND OTHER TYPES OF HAIR LOST. WHAT TOUCHED MY HEART WAS WHEN I WATCHED THE OPRAH WINFREY SHOW, I HEARD HER STATE "THERE ARE A LOT OF WOMEN WHO WILL NOT GET THEIR CHEMO TREATMENTS BECAUSE OF THE FEAR OF LOSING THEIR HAIR". I BELIEVE THE WORLD NEEDS TO KNOW THAT "HAIR DOES NOT MAKE A WOMAN!" AND WOMEN HAVE TO FEEL THAT WAY INSIDE. MY PARTNERS LARRY POLLACK (WITH PERMISSION FROM THE AMERCIAN CANCER SOCIETY) HAVE LAUNCHED THESE TEE SHIRTS, HATS AND SWEAT SHIRTS, TO SUPPORT AND ENCOURAGE WOMEN AND MEN TO FOCUS ON THEIR HEALTH AND NOT THEIR HAIR, AMANDY HITCHCOCK HAS ENTHUSIASTICALLY JOINED ME IN CO-ORDINATIING THE "I DARE YOU TO BE BALD" EVENTS. MANY OF US HAVE HEARD THE SAYING "BEAUTY COMES FROM WITHIN" AND WE AT "I DARE YOU TO BE BALD" TRULY BELIEVE THAT. WE BELIEVE WE NEED TO STAND TOGETHER WITH WOMEN AND MEN WHO FEEL INADEQUATE BECAUSE OF THEIR HAIR LOST. DON'T MISUNDERSTAND US WE ARE NOT PROMOTING THE SHAVING OF YOUR HEADS WHAT WE ARE ASKING IS THAT YOU PURCHASE ONE OR MORE OF THE ITEMS ABOVE AND WEAR THEM ON APRIL 18TH AND 19TH AS YOUR WAY OF SUPPORTINGYOUR FRIENDS AND LOVE ONES TO GET THEIR MUCH NEEDED TREATMENT. WE NEED TO LET THEM KNOW THAT THEY ARE LOVED WITH OR WITHOUT HAIR. A PORTION OF THE PROCEEDS WILL BENEFIT THE AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY FOR PEOPLE WHO CAN NOT AFFORD TREATMENT AND CANCER AWARENESS.
THANK YOU
GOD BLESS
FOR MORE INFORMATION PLEASE CALL DIANE DEVAUGHN @ 570-321-0252, LARRY POLLACK @570-322-2321 AND AMANDA HITCHCOCK @570-570-428-3262.

Sadness - it's gonna go away - final version

I have known depression for a good part of my life. I have suffered the paralyzing kind where life seems so overwhelming that it does not appear to be worth living, and the "milder" kind where life hurts, and it really feels like the term broken-hearted sums it all up, but I can deal with it. Maybe as I have gotten older I have found ways to cope with it. This song was a way I found of coping with it and written during a sad spell. It is a reminder of all of the beauty in life at a time when life seems hurtful, when rejection and a loss of love seem to surround. It is like a mantra to sing in the time of sorrow - a way to remember that happiness is still there even if it is not the current emotion being experienced. You can't tell yourself you are happy when you are sad, it doesn't work. What you can do is realize - as is stated in all Buddhist readings - that everything passes and all is fleeting. The bad news is pleasure doesn't last, but the good news is that pain doesn't last either. In the midst of emotional pain - repeating the mantra that "it's gonna go away" takes away the notion of its apparent permanence. How you an interpret an emotion is a big part of its effect, and the realization that it is not permanent makes it not seem so overwhelming. Two minor chords - Am and Bm are the full extent - borrowed from Micheal Franti's "Hello Bonjour", although he in turn borrowed this from many others. This song helps me face the difficult side of my emotions. For most of my life I have been able to successfully face depression without medication - and for me music is the best medication of all.
Sadness - It's gonna go away
I am outside with a heavy heart, tears fill my eyes in this all too familiar part
Grief paints the day like a darkened paintbrush, looking for love but I can't seem to get enough
Everything I once felt is still with me, my soul hasn't left it is still a part of me
God is till here, Godess is still here, my love is still here, my faith is still here
What I feel now will not last forever, it is going to pass on like the stormy weather
Like the change in the wind, like the change in the seasons
Like the change of emotions, change from happy to grieving
It's all a part of this vast ocean soul, adjusting the sails to this dark, empty hole
The tears in my eyes like a gallon of water that my soul drinks down to quench a thirsty hunger
To feel all the feelings I need to be feeling, to deal with emotions I need to be dealing with
I need to be happy, but I need to be sad, I need to cry now just like I need to be glad
It's all a part of miracles of emotion, to know my self in surrendur devotion
To see the ying and yang of the entire picture, feel the strength of my heart when it's under water
To allow myself to cry, to tell myself it's all okay, feel the light in the tunnel at the end of the day
Life and death different sides of the coin of the one, the grief will end though only now just begun
I can float to the land if I believe in my spirit, it is with me now though I can't see and hear it
Gotta keep on believing, when the light is dim, moving on when I forget how to push, how to swim
It is going to pass, it is going to part, I'll return to that beautiful place inside my heart
I'm allowed to grieve, I'm allowed to cry, I'm allowed to question, I'm allowed to ask why
But I don't need the answer that I'll never have, I don't need to know why I'm now feeling sad
I just breathe out and surrendur in this refuge of sod, I can see different faces in the one head of God
I can still see the wonder with the tears in my eye, I can still see the beauty of the deep blue sky
I can still know the great spirit is here with me now, when I look up to see those thin hazy white clouds
Cus I still belive, though I don't feel like believing, I still am happy, though right now I am grieving
This change in my spirits - lasting hours or days, but it doesn't mean that faith has to go away
I still love you, I still need to be loved, I still feel the spirits in the heavens above
I can cry, I can mourn, I can sleep through the day, till I reach the place where it all goes away
This is the time to take extra care, of my needs, of my soul, of the feelings I wear
On my sleeve, on my face, in my heart, in my head, I surrendur to death, but I don't need to be dead
It is all life now and I know I am okay, I know there is refuge at the end of the day
In my dreams, in my heart, in my songs, my guitar - in my healing place to live out unhealed scars
I still believe in you my beautiful one, I still know another song waits to be sung
I still can say the things I need to say, I still know I have my spirit, soul and my faith
I feel it now, but it's gonna go away, I feel it now but it's gonna go away
I feel it now, but it's gonna go away, I feel it now but it's gonna go away.....

Sathya Sai Baba sings: SATHYAM SIVAM SUNDERAM - Truth, Goodness, Beauty.
Na Punyam Na Papam Na Saukhyam
Na Dukkham Na Manthra Na Tirtham
Na Veda Na Yajnam
Aham Bhojanam Na Bhojanam
Naiva Bhojam Na Kartau
Sadananda Rupam Advaitam Sathyam Sivam Sundaram Sadananda Rupam sivoham sivoham
MEANING:
Neither sin nor merit; neither pleasures nor pain.
Neither sacred formulae nor sacred places.
Neither Vedas nor yajnas (rituals).
I am neither the eaten nor the eater nor the act of eating;
I am the ever blissful One, One without a second, Truth, Goodness and Beauty.
I am THAT.
The title, "Sathyam Shivam Sundaram" is full of meaning. It speaks of Me as immanent in every one of you, remember. Sathyam (Truth) is the basic reality of you all; that is why you resent being called a liar. The real "you" is innocent; he will not accept an imputation that is false. The
real "you" is Shivam--joy, happiness, auspiciousness---but not shavam (corpse). It is Shubham (beautiful), Nithyam (permanent), Aanandham (bliss). How then can you bear being called otherwise? The real "you" is Beauty, and so you resent being called ugly. The aathma has got
entangled in the body which it does not like; it is weighed down by shame when you identify it with the body and attribute to it the weaknesses and deficiencies of that physical vehicle.
Sathya Sai Baba
Suppose you are asked: "Who created all this multiplicity in the world; who is responsible for all this variety?" What will you answer?... The correct response is, "There is no multiplicity at all!"... The one divine self remains the one self forever. You mistake it as many. The fault is in you. Correct your vision. Remove your delusion. The divinity did not change into the world just as the rope did not change into a snake. In the dark you mistook the rope to be a snake but it remains a rope. So also, the divine self remains the divine self though your ignorance of this fact makes you see it as world... The world of diversity stands on one leg called delusion. Cut down that leg and the world falls... I often tell you not to identify even me with this particular body. You do not understand. You call me by only one name and believe I have only one form, but there is no name I do not bear and there is no form which is not mine.
After long searches here and there in temples and in churches, at last you come back completing the circle from where you started, and find that he for whom you have been seeking all over the world, for whom you have been weeping and praying in churches and temples, on whom you were looking as the mystery of all mysteries, is the nearest of the near... your very self... the reality of your life, body and soul. Assert it! Manifest it!
You as body, mind or soul are a dream. But what you really are is pure existence, knowledge, bliss. You are the God of this universe. You are creating this whole universe and drawing it in. To gain the Infinite, the miserable little prison individuality must go.... Follow the heart. A pure heart seeks beyond the intellect. It gets inspired.... Within you is the real happiness. Within you is the mighty ocean of nectar divine. Seek it within you. Feel it. Feel it. It is here, the self. It is not the body, the mind, the intellect. All these are simply manifestations. Above all these you are. You appear as the smiling flower, as the twinkling stars. What is there in the world which can make you desire anything?

Richie Budd at Tortilleria La Popular
by Gary Smith and Ronnie Smith
Richie Budd's MFA show at the "Tortilleria La Popular" is an approach to compacting the neo-nauseousness of our unchanging consumerist self. If you have not encountered one of Richie's assemblages, when you do see one, you know it's a Budd. His hot-glue gun wielding days have moved forward to a more "refined" state, if you can even now call his work refined. The assemblages are a more controlled fiasco of well thought out sculptural organisms. When you enter the gallery the first overpowering thing you see is the assemblage "Bon Voyage Kinesthesia de Pileon". The sensory intake incites neurons to overwhelmingly acquire the informational aspects in a form of stunned surprise. A high overload of meaning is mixed with messages on every scale. "Bon Voyage Kinesthesia de Pieon", with its placement of objects, isolates a viewer's attention to one point and then leads it to another. The media used is media itself. The piece has objects of desire, food, and one's of fear of senility and age; an old folks port-a-potty, and the list goes on to affront and to amuse the viewer. The message is of the societal farce; we consume, eat, defecate, and at all times delight ourselves in the little pieces of our own happiness. When seen in it's compositional glory, one is uneasy in smiling or taking the thing seriously, either way you feel like you have been politely insulted, and are somewhat happy about the event. In truth there is something to be said about how we process our surroundings. Budd has hit the mark in adding to our sensory graffiti, and the viewer is quite cable of ignoring his message. We take the pieces apart and see them as in offensive, we walk through the smoke machine smoking and the bubble machine blowing and then come up with words such "a gimmick" and "clever". The fact that you are not insulted is insulting as a whole to how we now perceive our world and at what value we take it. Budd's piece "Crunked on No Limit" is the introduction piece at the "Tortilleria La Popular". In fact the viewer overlooks the piece due to the borage of information at the center of the gallery floor. The piece reflects Budd's association to his part in the perfume industry. What is Budd saying about the whole of his involvement in society is that we contribute to the world at large. The piece is an elegant display of perfumes on a silver platter; there is no mystery as to why it is representational of the artist. Had it not been for this bit of information about the artist, you might just believe it is more of the same, a piece to overwhelm our olfactory senses in this case, and to some especially in this context, more pollution to innervate our already desensitized selves. Budd does not stand above our own experience in the grotesque, rather admits some of our human relationship to the world we all help create. As at last you begin to soak up the ambivalence and enjoy the show you notice the spheres attached in different locales throughout the gallery, if not being informed of the nature of these "balls" you might just ignore them. The piece as a whole or pieces are Budd's "Wall Moles". Maybe they do not look the part, but you get the point in that the value of art in perceiving it is not so much the beauty of the marks, rather the perceived value of a statement. All in all, from the unrestrained assemblages to the passively positioned moles, the sarcasm of the work is blunt, and they all challenge you in different ways. The social, to the personal, and the somewhat ridiculous are the perfect unifiers to our experience in the way we perceive, act out, and are acted upon by the world at large.

Angelina Jolie for those who love and appreciate beauty :)
I sit and wait
does an angel contemplate my fate
and do they know
the places where we go
when were grey and old
cos Ive been told
that salvation lets their wings unfold
so when Im lying in my bed
thoughts running through my head
and I feel that love is dead
Im loving angels instead
and through it all she offers me protection
a lot of love and affection
whether Im right or wrong
and down the waterfall
wherever it may take me
I know that life wont break me
when I come to call she wont forsake me
Im loving angels instead
when Im feeling weak
and my pain walks down a one way street
I look above
and I know ill always be blessed with love
and as the feeling grows
she breathes flesh to my bones
and when love is dead
Im loving angels instead
and through it all she offers me protection
a lot of love and affection
whether Im right or wrong
and down the waterfall
wherever it may take me
I know that life wont break me
when I come to call she wont forsake me
Im loving angels instead

hi...how have you been? i missed you...it's not goodbye...
And what if I never kiss your lips again
Or feel the touch of your sweet embrace
How would I ever go on
Without you there's no place to belong
Well someday love is gonna lead you back to me
But 'til it does I'll have an empty heart
So I'll just have to believe
Somewhere out there you thinking of me
Until the day I'll let you go
Until we say our next hello
It's not goodbye
'Til I see you again
I'll be right here rememberin' when
And if time is on our side
There will be no tears to cry
On down the road
There is one thing I can't deny
It's not goodbye
You'd think I'd be strong enough to make it through
And rise above when the rain falls down
But it's so hard to be strong
When you've been missin' somebody so long
It's just a matter of time I'm sure
But time takes time and I can't hold on
So won't you try as hard as you can
To put my broken heart together again

KHII -EX008 - Chapter 4 - Ursula's Revenge Part 1
The Little Mermaid lives at the sea bottom with her father the sea king; her grandmother; and her five elder sisters ...
The Little Mermaid lives at the sea bottom with her father the sea king; her grandmother; and her five elder sisters, born one year apart. When a mermaid turns 15, she is allowed to swim to the surface to watch the world above, and as the sisters become old enough, one of them visits the surface every year. As each of them returns, the Little Mermaid listens longingly to their descriptions of the surface and of human beings.
When the Little Mermaid's turn comes, she ventures to the surface, sees a ship with a handsome prince, and falls in love with him from a distance. A great storm hits, and the Little Mermaid saves the prince from a near-drowning. She delivers him unconscious to the shore near a temple. Here she waits until a young girl from the temple finds him. The prince never sees the Little Mermaid.
The Little Mermaid asks her grandmother whether humans can live forever if they do not drown. The grandmother explains that humans have a much shorter lifespan than merfolk's 300 years, but that when mermaids die they turn to sea foam and cease to exist, while humans have an eternal soul that lives on in Heaven. The Little Mermaid, longing for the prince and an eternal soul, eventually visits the Sea Witch, who sells her a potion that gives her legs, in exchange for her tongue; the Little Mermaid has the most intoxicating voice in the world. Drinking the potion will make her feel as if a sword is being passed through her, and walking on her feet will feel like walking on knives. In addition, she will only get a soul if the prince loves her and marries her, for then a part of his soul will flow into her. Otherwise, at dawn on the first day after he marries another woman, the Little Mermaid will die brokenhearted and turn to sea foam.
The Little Mermaid drinks the potion and meets the prince, who is attracted to her beauty and grace even though she is mute. Most of all he likes to see her dance, and she dances for him despite her excrutiating pain. When the prince's father orders his son to marry the neighboring king's daughter, the prince tells the Little Mermaid he will not, because he does not love the princess. He goes on to say he can only love the young woman from the temple, but adds that the Little Mermaid is beginning to take the temple girl's place in his heart. It turns out that the princess is the temple girl, who had been sent to the temple to be educated. The prince loves her and the wedding is announced.
The prince and princess marry, and the Little Mermaid's heart breaks. She thinks of all that she has given up and of all the pain she has suffered. She despairs, but before dawn, her sisters give her a knife that the Sea Witch has given them in exchange for their hair. If the Little Mermaid slays the prince with the knife, she will become a mermaid again and live out her full life.
The Little Mermaid cannot bring herself to kill the sleeping prince lying with his bride and, as dawn breaks, throws herself into the sea. Her body dissolves into foam, but instead of ceasing to exist, she feels the warmth of the sun; she has turned into a spirit, a daughter of the air. The other daughters of the air tell her she has become like them because she strove with all her heart to gain an eternal soul. She will earn her own soul by doing good deeds, and she will eventually rise into the kingdom of God.

A video walkthrough of each boss in Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow. Note: THERE IS SOUND. Just wait till Soma goes into the Boss Room.
Boss #8: Gergoth
Equipment:
Arms:Dainslef, War Fatigues, Silver Stud
Souls: Mandragora or Slime, Medusa Head, Treant or Golem
Level:33
Boss Difficulty: 8.5/10
Strategy: I made this boss look easy. He's not. I just had the perfect souls and arms to beat him. The key to beating Gergoth is to know what souls will do the most damage close quarters, and to know his patterns. In this way, I beat him in one try. I used a good ranged sweeping weapon, Dainslef (which you can find out how to make in the Notes section), and Mandragora, but the most important soul in this battle is the one I used just once: Medusa Head. If you do not have Medusa Head going into this battle, you can start digging your grave already. Once you have the right equipment, the first thing to know is that Gergoth is vulnerable when the battle starts, meaning you pound him with your Mandragora's until he shows signs of hostility. When he makes his move, usually a jumping move (given that you are on one side of the arena and he retreats to the other), which is impossible to dodge unless you were close to him, which you most likely weren't. Keep pounding him with Mandragora and watch his patterns. Soon he will pound the ground, destroying it and sending you plunging to the bottom of the Condemned Tower. Now he is faster, because his shackles have been broken, making all of his movements even more deadly. Fortunately, you already know his most likely patterns, and he's weak, so avoid an attack and keep launching Mandragora and keep pounding him with a high class weapon, and Gergoth will seem like an easy a boss as Rahab was. Check the moves section for Gergoth's many killer moves and how to counter.
NOTES: Dainslef is a powerful sweeping weapon in the Great Sword class, and I highly recommend this weapon above all, even though it is extremely difficult to craft. First of all, get a Claymore, Falchion, or Great Sword (Great Sword is also the name of a weapon,) and keep infusing the proper souls into the weapon until you reach Dainslef. Though it is difficult to procure souls such as the Valkryie and Lilith, it is well worth it. Also, on another note, if anyone has ANY questions at all about ANYTHING, leave a comment. Yet another note, if you feel confident with the Puppet Master soul, you can get past Gergoth on multiple attacks, but it requires good timing. On a Final Note, do not underestimate the beauty of the Medusa Head soul (no pun intended). It can save you from Gergoth's most powerful attack.
Gergoth's Moves:
Middle Jump: Gergoth goes to the other side of the arena, while Soma is on the other side or the middle, and he jumps in the middle. Soma will get hit no matter what if he stays on his side or in the middle.Counter: The only way to avoid getting hit by this crushing move is to slide under him, as you can see in the video, I failed at that, but it is possible. Gergoth usually does this move to start off the match.
Petrification Gas: Gergoth opens his chest to reveal his most deadly attack, a barrage of purple gas. If it catches you, massive damage will happen and you will be petrified. Counter: There are two ways to counter. You could either do it the hard way and execute a miracle of a jump that only the pro's could possibly pull off without getting hit, or jump and use the Medusa Head soul to hover in mid-air while the attack happens below.
Laser Beam: Gergoth's second most powerful attach and his claim to fame. Gergoth charges up and releases a huge beam of energy in the miniscule arena. Counter: The only way to avoid getting hit is to crouch ridiculously close to Gergoth's feet. When you do this, you can go ahead and keep smacking him with your weapon while crouched.
Arena Smash: Gergoth breaks open the arena, crashing you down all the way into the bottom level of the Condemned Tower. He can only do this once. While you are falling, continue to attack Gergoth while being VERY careful not to touch him. When Gergoth touches down on the ground, his head will get stuck (rather comically), giving you more opportunity to hit him defenseless. However, the advantage he has after the attack is that now his shackles are gone, increasing his speed and his tenacity.
Walk around: Gergoth simply walks around the arena, finding a spot where the game will allow him to launch an attack. If you touch him, you lose health. This is usually the time where you want to launch Mandragora's. If you have a powerful Slime count (6 or 7), forget Mandragora's and use Slime, it will utterly destroy Gergoth.
About Gergoth. Gergoth seems to be the transition between easy boss(everyone before him) and tough boss. That doesn't include Zephyr of course, who is still weak. Gergoth makes a boss cameo in the Nest of Evil in Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin. He is weaker in that version.

SOAP OPERA LOVE Piqued, the morning she moved out
I gave her back the photographs.
Let this thing of ours become distant memory.
A top-notch beauty, she's sensuous,
Smart, thrifty, and disciplined in her work habits.
But she does not keep her word.
After our first year
In a call to voice mail,
She poured out her suffering heart,
And confessed that her former boyfriend,
He had physically abused her.
It was during the course of their longtime affair.
I remember Princess Diana explained
A third had spoiled her chance for happy marriage,
With us, his specter, a constant presence.
I will not forget she cowered,
Readying to walk out the door,
Childlike, fearful, shoulders slumped forward,
Eyes to the ground, she replayed,
I guess, previous experience.
I did not raise my voice.
Were that not revelation enough,
She admitted, shortly thereafter
To eating disorder, 'a form of anorexia',
She called it. So at root of our affair
Lay poor self image, explaining both
Her being with me, a man twice her age,
And that other, five-year romance
With a beast, a criminal whose coercive
Words and deeds proved his love was true!
Later this week
From a spot above the head of our bed,
I'll take down her Grandfather's painting,
(A birthday gift from her to me)
Icon-like, it portrays the infant Jesus,
Who is held in his Mother Mary's arms.
I'll return it with the Lord's Prayer,
A hand-colored, photocopy
Translated into old Swedish, Gothic script.
We have it tacked on the wall,
It occupies space directly next to the refrigerator.
Does she believe in God? I ask myself.
It's early morning and I am tired.
Yeah, but I still would like to know.
She's sick; she doesn't know what she believes.
I have a big blank spot in my schedule.
I feel bad all the time.
I don't know what to do.
What am I without her? I wonder.
Can't I -- I mean... Is there
Any way I could make her better?
I feel like shit.
I want to get up from the keyboard
And go into the kitchen and weep.
I may never speak to her again.
I loved to sleep with her,
Hoped she would stand next to me,
Become loving companion, a wife.
Instead I got her boasts,
Sadly Pyrrhic confidences about her imminent victory,
She vanquishes the ghost of her former lover.
One day she came to me at work,
Asked me to step outside, and whispered
How at 4:00AM that same morning in our bed,
In our home, she recognized her failure,
The fact she could not give herself to sex,
Would ultimately mean his deviltry triumphed.
In reality she had lost the fight.
The beast was ascendant.
He stood beside our bed.
But now a fool is talking.
I am the one, screw loose,
Who hoped we might write love songs,
Which themselves become legend,
Who wished the kind of love, no restrictions,
Limbs askew, monkey love, she and I
Bound up in a passion limitless, a universe,
A thrilling heaven, like some Islamic vision
Whose paradise has eternal, physical bliss.
By God! Given over to this physical ecstasy,
That happiness and children be our bounty,
That we might enjoy peace,
And our love attains power of example,
It brings cynosure, light for the ages.
No! Intimacy resisted,
Yet in her history, she lives.
She lives in drama,
Where terrible wound reopens, Fanelli's, Dojo's,
And the Tavern on Eighteenth Street,
Each a scene, time, time and time, again.
She enjoys the nightmare theatrics,
She eschews healthy flesh,
The pain of the past captivates her soul.
I am afraid. The demon drives her.
And now, when all is said and done,
He alone is her dream lover.
